[edit] Announcement
me_at_work and I have coordinated a chat with the admins of Spread Firefox to discuss the direction of SFX and to try clean up some of the areas that are problematic. The chat will be on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 02:00 UTC (GMT) (check [1] to find the time in your Time Zone).
We are meeting on irc.mozilla.org #mozcom and #spreadfirefox to chat about where SFX is going and what can be done to help the process.
The channel #mozcom will be +m, so that only admins/moderators can talk, while others can watch and discuss in the public #spreadfirefox channel. This will allow us to direct the conversation and keep the information from becoming spammy as while we aren’t interrupted by flooding. People will still see what we’re talking about openly. As well, they can talk amongst themselves and spam up #spreadfirefox.

[edit] Discussions
- College Reps: Getting it off the ground faster than it is going right now (which is to say, really slow)
- Discussing the methods of a possible Community Representatives program
- Discuss the Spread Firefox Redesign mockups
- Make Sure that the layout of the new site is tested without CSS
- Dealing with category/pagerank spammers
- Focusing the site
- Winning back our fallen comrades who have become upset with SFX to the point of leaving (vfh131 fell Sunday night), perhaps discussing what upset them and seeing possible solutions.
- Improving the method of picking out the best forum posts and blogs so that they receive more attention
- Creating information and resource packs for people to go out and convert people
- Creating some way for spreadfirefox and its members to discuss issues important to Firefox evangelists with the Mozilla Foundation. This would include the design of the getfirefox page and prioritising bugfixes and issues that are preventing Firefox takeup (for example, an easy way to deploy firefox in schools and large networks with admin rights)
