State Official section Edit

I'd like to add a new State official section. I thought the 'city official' one was a good start, but I wanted to add a little more, so I stole a paragraph from one of the other standardized letters as well as adding my own stuff [last sentence in 2nd paragraph]

This is basically what I just sent out to as many state officials as I could find (and my state 'Information Technologies Agency':

I am a Virginia resident and I think it would be a good idea for state employees to
use the new Firefox web browser. Firefox is faster and more secure than Internet Explorer.
Lately, I have read newspaper reports citing concerns about the safety of citizen's data in
government offices. I think that Firefox would minimize the problems associated with this.

You may be aware that the the U.S. government's Computer Emergency Readiness Team is
warning Web surfers to stop using Internet Explorer and switch to other browsers. According
to them, the available security updates still leave too many security flaws and allow spyware
and viruses to get onto a computer and even steal credit card numbers. The continuous
updates for Internet Explorer are often difficult and time consuming to install on many computers.
Updates for Firefox are small and infrequent and can be set to download automatically.
I think we could save the state of Virginia a lot of time and money that would've otherwise been
spent dealing with spyware, security updates, etc.

Thank you for your time

I also replaced 'state' with 'county' and sent that out to 3 different county officials. I also replaced 'state' with 'federal' and sent that out to my representatives as well as the President himself. is a wonderful thing

Library versionEdit

I have created a library version (based on the School Network Administrator version) which I have given to my local libraries, and I'll submit it soon :) (I seem to have lost track of my copy at the moment...) --Wulf 02:25, 27 Oct 2005 (UTC)
