Welcome to Me at work's Bliki, a test of interesting things. This is merely a project and is therefore a not very bloggish blog, created for the sole intent of documenting a few thoughts randomly that usually has nothing to do with this wiki.
You can see how I think I'm doing this here. I'll update it next time I make a blog post when I find out what I missed, if I missed anything (I think it's rather accurate).

So Asa Dotzler contacted me recently on IRC about his warming up to the idea of starting projects off on the Wiki. While I think this is nice, I know it won't be truely effective in all situations. I don't mind, of course, projects using this wiki for good purposes, I'm all for it.

Today I ran across OpenOffice.org Marketing Materials, which gives you several useful things:

I have come to the conclusion that video games DO make people want to kill people. I specifically have a grudge against a particular John Cooney for Metaphysik: Ball Revamped II. I'm on level 56, and at level 50 he reversed the gravity so it's just SO much harder. It would be nicer if my nvidia drivers would install and give me the ability to flip the monitor 180. Then I could flip the keyboard around and play the game like normal. Gah.

There has been some talk on SFX as of late making fun of the "Best Viewed In" images, being from the olden days when there weren't much standards enforcement. Now in 2005, we have a different situation. Seeing "Best Viewed In" means that the person can't code for standards, but for a particular browser.

I just received word from CBS that the temporary logo, leading with 0 votes, is the clear winner in the current election. Clearly the better candidate won. But let's not be too hasty!
Yes, from the current votes, it's obvious that Lou's last minute entry is going to win. I would kill the voting off now and just change it, but as the rules keep the voting going until the end of the month or until we get permission, I left the voting up.

I was checking out the normal get sites, just out of boredom. I checked GetMozilla.com, still not taken. I then checked GetSunbird.com and to my surprise, it was. Currently it's just a black screen with the names of four mozilla products, mozilla, firefox, thunderbird, sunbird, in black text centered on the page. I can't figure out it's meaning, but due to the source code I think it's trying to get higher up there in searches for sunbird. This is worrysome.
